“This plastic artist possesses an undeniable talent. “Art” is not a vain word for her, because she uses a large number of sculptural techniques in her work. The path of her career has always been directed towards aestheticism and creativity.
After a long career dedicated to design and painting (both watercolours and oils), she firmly decided to pursue an artistic orientation towards sculpture. Paule Joly, whom no material resists: stone, marble, granite, marble powder, resin and bronze all take part in her domain. Her universe contains a daily rhythm filled with eclectic production. The formats are not important. They can be monumental : 3m50, or 2m70, or more reasonable dimensions as well. Her creations are at the same time both objects and works of art in their own right. They can penetrate to the heart of the family circle to complete its harmony and transmit a part of its simple emotion, directing the artist in her own expression.
All art is generous in its own being, but Paule Joly produces works of art which are the result of a radiant talent. Her sculptures are refined and sensual. We can see that a certain serenity emerges in the development of her work, and – at the same time - that the accomplishment of her work is controlled by an innovative spirit entirely devoted and dedicated to sculptural art. Her subjects are treated with a completely personal vision where we can find the mysteries of this art in the symbolism her works. Her overflowing commitment and enthusiasm place her among the contemporary artists completely devoid of all leniency toward the commercialised standards in vogue today.
Needless to say, Paule Joly is an authentic creator who serves as an undeniable figure of reference within the contemporary market. ”
