"Fascinated by the interplay of light, the artist enjoys concentrating upon variation and the slightest nuances... An art which knows how to unite vibrant sensitivity to a damanding profession."
Y. Cosson

"A universe of intimacy, elegance and vitality, the world of Y. GUIL'HAUMON has a note, un perfume of the instant. Her favourite themes are women and flowers, balconies and landscapes. Behind these suitable motifs, what is truly at stake is to paint light and colour, a filtered and haloed light, revealed by vivid floral branches which stand or droop, according to composition. The women are captives in refined poses, their faces hidden by the shadow of Italian straw sun hats. They suggest the true face of accomplished beauty."
C. Lardière

"From the landscape, the artist softly selects an intimate scenery punctuated by the pink and blue of enchanted flowers. She is also strongly influenced by the ruthless light of Provence which reveals and reinforces form. The contrasts are more violent, the structure is rougher, the media is meticulously worked to convey the audacity of a sun that swallows shadow and enhances the harsh beauty of the ground which stands out against a distant and fleeing sky."
Y. Cosson

"Y. GUIL'HAUMON's pictures blossom through the grace and sensuality of the woman offering flowers and fruit in meticulously studied composition and light. With her easel at hand, she thinks of nothing but painting for happiness of those approaching her work."
J.-Y. Picoron
