In proposing a personal interpretation of the tapestry which allows me to go beyond the framework of the original craft, I create colour-woven images on the material. In turning away from its uniform and rigid aspects, I integrate fantasy with the appliqué work, with the fringes connected to the embroidery work at various stitches and decorated with paintings, artisan papers, sealants and various accessories (slot machine chips, hairpins, metal dressings, etc.....). Without a preparatory drawing and without preparation, I work from instinct and await the surprise of the finished work.
